The age old story... I saw a movie when I was 6 or 7 years old.. I can remember details clear as day, but I cannot for the life of me remember the title...

I think the title was something like ______ Dearest or __________ Darling? the Blank being the sons name...

Plot: Parrents are in politics, with an upcoming election its advised they have their son live with them for better PR... they had photos taken with cardboard cut outs saying "insert son here"

Mother goes to the sons University to get him while he was in the shower room, she cathes some gay guys in a shower together before dragging her son home.

Son is a major horror movie buff, first thing he does in his new room is tapes a rubber heart to the wall and says "home is where the heart is" and begins to unpack. The family doesnt like his decorations and his room is Un-decorated to his dissaproval.

He also starts doing chores around the house that the parrents dont approve of as it makes him look like some blue collar trash (like when he waxes the floor with the big buffer)

In the movie he meets a girl wihle standing in line to meet George A Romero, she spys him alone in the line and comes up and kisses him so she can cut up closer to the front, pretending to be his g/f... even tho the giant zombie behind them tries to protest... later they go to see Attack of the Killer tomatoes together and are singing the theme song outside the theater...

Thats about it for the plot that I can remember... I was really young when I watched it.

Any help and/or leads would be awesome.

Hi bigpunk81!

The movie is Morgan Stewart's Coming Home aka Home Front (1987) with Jon Cryer.
Pretty funny flick!

Haha, what a cool name [Cool]
I think that you should just buy the movie and show it to her when she´s old enough.

I did buy the movie on Amazon, couldn't find a torrent (In before evil bad download person comments)

I rank this one up with Ferris Beuler's day off with movies I remember as a kid.

It was also called 'Home Front'.

I believe 'Tomika', 'Mika' and 'Atom' are decent (and real) names you could get out of 'Atomik'.

Just watched this tonight. A couple of scenes looked vaguely familiar, but I did not remember the shower scene. That's normally the stuff adolescent boys would remember, because of the cool masks, you know... so I suppose I never saw it before. Emily (Viveka Davis) was very pretty, and had the most attractive personality! Very similar to Lisa, from The Drew Carey Show.
