Anyone on here remember or saw this cheesy 80's movie? I think it came out around 85 or 86. It has a Porky's like flair to it. The movie is basically a bunch of folks and a police academy. I vaguely remember watching it several time on VHS, and loved it...

I do know the director of Recruits also directed Screwballs, Screwball Hotel, and Valet Girls...

I have to own up. I have a copy in my film collection, Not as good as Police Academy but its no where near as bad as some cheesy movies that came out in the 90s

i just know i have seen all those movies at one time or another, again thanks to USA's up all night, which means they were edited.
i wouldn't mind seeing screwballs again, cause it's been so long.

Hi everyone I am new to this but, I figured I might as well try.. I have been driving myself crazy trying to find a movie I saw as a kid the guy in the movie was a cross between Jeff Goldblum and Mr. Bean(if you can picture that) It had to have been in the early eighties it was a Haunted House but not scary I think they may have even made a pop book about it. All I keep remembering is a purple octupus in the oven..sink over flowing..it was more cute then scary..Go figure I was 8 at the time. Any help I would really appreciate it.

I got the laserdisc and VHS of Recruits, strangely the laserdisc is cut by a few minutes, not any of the nudity but the scene where the 'bad' police officer is looking for something to cook lobsters in and finds the toxic oil drum which ends up making them all ill.

michali, could it have been "House"? (a movie I don't particularly rate that high)

Just bought and watched Recruits (1986)
Entertaining and crazy flick with great jokes, funny bad guys and lots of T&A.

Legendary rocker Jon Mikl Thor is one of the stars and he´s on the soundtrack too.
