Shocker was either late 80s/early 90s. I don't remember Lou Diamond Phillips in it, though.

You're probably thinking of "The First Power" with Lou Diamond Phillips from 1990. Not a bad movie, I remember enjoying it but haven't seen it in a long time, thanks for reminding me of it.

i remember watching the first power when it first came to video. it was the only time i've ever watched that movie. from what i remember, it was decent.

The First Power was great for me. Saw it in the theaters when it first came out.

Shocker was about a killer who was executed but possessed others after he was killed. I think it was passed through touch.

The first power is a good movie but that scene when the bag lady flies up outside his window still freaks me out...
