I had never heard of Long's Peak until a few weeks ago, when I found out my friend had hiked it almost 6 times. I had some guests here over the weekend that are going to go hike it in August. It is in Colorado. All of them were talking about the Stanley Hotel and that it is near there...my friend said she won't stay there because it is haunted and that they filmed The Shining there.

I looked it up on the internet...at:

www.stanleyhotel.com

It looks really neat, and next year is the 100th anniversary of when it opened.

I wondered if anyone had ever been to it??

Or if anyone has ever been to any other movie set locations?

I would love to visit the Stanley Hotel. On one of my favorite shows, "GhostHunters," they went there and set up their equipment to catch paranormal activity. It was quite interesting what they caught.

Isn't it awesome...I love the pictures on the website with the snow.

I absolutely would stay there....I am so deathly afraid of flying...but I decided after I turn 40 this year that I don't care...I am going to fly and go places before my life is over...so this is going to get added to my "list" of stuff to do before I die.
