I need help finding the name of a tv movie from the 80's. I only remember one scene. It is of two girls, I think red-headed twins that get in a car accident on a bridge. I think one of the girls falls into the water and her mom goes down to help her and then this old woman beats her over the head with a log. My brother thinks that Andy Griffith is the mean old grandfather, but I haven't been able to find this movie. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I know that there were red-headed twins in "The Great Outdoors", but that is where the similarities end between that particular movie and what you're describing.
