It was either "Ordinary People" or "Raging Bull". Both movies came out the same year (1980).

In what context do we mean as first; first period, first in the theater, first in its entirety? Taking all of them into account--and my memory isn't quite the best after all these years--I'd have to say it was Who Framed Roger Rabbit at a drive in 12 miles north of town in the summer of 1988, part one of a twin bill (Three Men and a Baby was the second half, but I fell asleep 10 minutes in, so I don't count it).

I don't know what was first just in general, but cinema wise the first 3 I seen were Batteries not included, The Karate Kid, part 3 and Ghostbusters 2.

One of the first movies that I can really remember watching was Savannah Smiles. Such a tragic story for the little girl who played Savannah, she died of a drug overdose at the age of 21.

Spielberg's ET (1982) was my first I think. Still love it as much to this day.

Now that I think about it, I think my first two were Dirty Dancing and E.T (I saw it in the theatre's when they re-released it). But, I was really little.
I wasn't hooked until The Outsiders. Well, I read the book after I saw the movie and THEN I was hooked.

Devolution here,

In the movies, I have seen many. Depending on what came out chronologically first, I have seen, Superman II, The Empire Strikes Back, The Wrath Of Khan, and Popeye, and ET all in the movies, and all at a young age.

Raiders of the Lost Ark, maybe? Did it come out before or after ET and The Twilight Zone movie? Anyway, it was one of those three. I think. Course, it could've been The Empire Strikes Back. Whichever was first...I saw them all in the theater.

Mine would have to have been The Empire Strikes Back. That movie came out in 1980 and I believe it was the first movie I saw that year.

First Blood was the first 80's movie I watched on a friends VCR. I didn't have one myself until 1988 or so..

The first 80’s movie I saw on the big screen was E.T. After that I watched most in the movies: Flashdance, The Wild Life, An Officer and a Gentleman, Beverly Hills Cop, Beat Street, Breakin', Gremlins... just to name a few. Say Anything was the last 80’s movie I saw at the theater.
