Okay I checked out the homepage for a first time in quite a while and I noticed that Dirty Dancing was listed as one of the favorite flicks of 2005 for the site. What is so weird about this? Can anyone guess?

Is it just me or does hardly no one post anything about Dirty Dancing? I mean when you think about it look at all of the posts that there have been for Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Pretty In Pink, even The Great Mouse Avenger!! [Wink]

Do you feel that Dirty Dancing is one of those films that doesn't leave you with a lot of unanswered questions? Is that why no one posts about it so much??? Just curious! [Confused]

The thing is..... and this is being carefully worded so as not to upset or insult the more 'transient' visitor to these boards..... Dirty Dancing is commercially and culturally popular, and is therefore a bigger draw and more visited page amongst those people whose exposure to the 80s movie scene is limited to mainstream stuff.

In other words, people who know far less about 80s movies than the majority of our members will still have heard of Dirty Dancing and will want to read about it.

However, once here, they generally look at other stuff too. Every cloud has a silver lining.
