there are two movies i am trying to figure out. i saw them both as a child in the 80s. the first one if i remember correctly is set in australia and there are a group of bad guys and they take a teacher and her students hostage. i remember thm going to an old couples house and the bad guys kill the old people and i remember a water scene where they all are on the run and go under water in like a cave. please help...the second movie is about a brother and sister whose mother died and they go to live with her parents, and the only thin i can remember about it is the kids seeing the grandfather doing something in the basement with the moms body. then someone hides from someone else in a car. sorry this one is so vague. but any help is sooo appreciated. thanks all.

The first one is Fortress with Rachel Ward.

I don't know the second one.

now that i have figured out where to get help from, im going to drive you guys nuts. lol. i thought of another movie that i saw as a kid. it was about a family, mother, father, 2 girls and a boy. all i remember is they are in a carand the the boy and one of the girls is picking on the other sister and i think they tie her sholaces together and they wreck and everyone makes it out of the car but her and she dies when the car explodes and then i think she haunts the two surviving siblings. i guess it may not have been a movie but i definately saw it as a kid, does it sound familiar to anyone?

I don't know that one either, but I am sure someone else on here will come up with something for you.

Sorry to hear about your mom, that is a sad story.

The movie Fortress was a good one, I think it was made for HBO...I think it was the first movie they ever made with their own production company. It is very scary. The scene where they are going underwater, and the one kid panics and almost drowns her, is pretty intense.

Welcome to the Rewind!

I'll never forget when someone gave me the name of a movie I had loved and never knew the name of...it was called Touched by Love and had Diane Lane in it. I love that movie, and ran to ebay and found it, and was so happy, so I know the feeling.

Phew! That's a lot of pressure!

Unfortunately, I don't recognise the first one. But the movie about the Girl that dies is called "Don't go to Sleep":

i know, hes awesome. but from what i have found out, it was a made for tv movie so i guess i wont be able to see it again. but i did find fortress on e bay for 16.98, not bad even though it is really old. but i still want it. the one that you guys dont know was a really wierd one, and i cant remember if it was a movie or something i saw on tv. i spent alot of tiem in front of the tv when i was little and we rented a lot of movies. i actually remembered seeing 7 minutes in heaven when i was like 9 or 10 and i loved it and i watched it again a few years ago. the last movie i went with my mom to the drive in to see was the emerald forest, have you seen that? its a good one too.
