Y'know those Horror Movie Antholgys where they have more than one story? Well, this is one of those.
The story I speak of is a toymaker. He makes a Teddy Bear that sings "I am a Happy Teddybear" and it talks.
One day thugs break into the shop and kill the toy maker and the bear screams "You killed my Papa!", then I think they shoot the bear and he goes "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"
Well somehow the bear reanimates (maybe into a real bear or a big bear) and goes looking for tehse guys to kill em and settle their hash. As he kills them one by one he sings "I am a Hapy Teddybear with different lyrics"

No, I am not making this up. Me and a friend saw it on video in the 80s and laughed our butts off.

Anyone?

Bwaha! That's one of the odder movie descriptions I've read. I hope you find what you're looking for.

Ha! When I read your description, the bear in A.I. was the first thing I thought of, so I imagined the robot teddy bear killing folks and singing, "I am a happy teddy bear" using his voice. I really wanted a robot teddy bear after that movie--That was the ONLY thing I liked about that movie (Okay, so characters like that gigalo robot were kinda memorable, but after they disappear halfway through the movie and you have to wait for it to finally end, they kinda lose their magic).

I doubt it is it but I thought I would post it anyways. Was it an episode of TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE called URSA MINOR....
When Joan finds a new teddy bear in her son's room no one seems to know where it came from. Then night after night huge claw marks are found on the walls and the sounds of something very large can be heard moving through the house. It seems that this little bear has a murderous life all its own...

thats show scared the crap out of me in the 80s I was like 5/6 and my older brother would watch it. The trees creep me out

I saw that also!
Man I am just fulla hateful bear knowledge. (Also saw BJORK's Human Behavior video. LOL!)

I have a feeling I will never find this bear movie. I believe the picture on the box is a guy in a mental hospital screaming...so its one of those mental hospital wrap-around stories.

I miss TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE! When the H*LL are they gonna do a dvd box set????
