I bought it last year, and never got around to watching it. I know alot of people like it. I have seen clips of it, and I just never could get around to watching it.

Who loves it and recommends it highly?

Yours truly. While not the best adaptation of A Christmas Carol, it certainly is one of the most purely entertaining. Bill Murray's at the top of his game and flaunting his cynical style every which way INCLUDING loose. Carol Kane as perhaps the most abusive spirit in cinematic history ("It's a TOASTER!!!!" (lets him have it square in the face)) is probably the standout of numerous great supporting characters. And under the zaniness (nice satire of network TV and how corrupt everyone behind it likely is) there is a pretty reasonable heart, perhaps not as strong as it could have been, but strong enough to get the job done, and that's all you can ask for. And a great soundtrack too, especially with "Put a Little Love in Your Heart" over the end credits that sends you out in high spirits. Do see it if you get the chance.

This IS the best ever version of A Christmas Carol!!
Forget the traditional fare with the workhouse, the victorian setting and that Ebeneezer geezer, Frank Cross, New York and a TV company made it great!!

ISIS, I plead with you, no I even beg you, watch this movie, YULE LOVE IT!! [Smile]

See it, original and entertaining take on the story; features some vintage Murray humour.

great movie

and it has bobcat in it. case closed.

also, though i know it shouldn't be compared to the classics because it wasn't made in that way, it is in no way better then the alistair sim version. thank you.

"Seven o'clock:  psychos seize Santa's workshop, and only Lee Majors can stop them ("EAT THIS!!!"), in 'The Night the Reindeer Died.'"  Priceless, purely priceless.  Wonder what IBC airs for Memorial Day?

Thanks for all the feedback for it, now I am psyched to see it.

"Scrooged" was a fun twist on the old classic.

My fav parts were actually the insane tv promos....like... "The Night the Reindeer Died" starring Lee Majors. Where you see the Six Million Dollar Man toting an Uzi.

"Hey, back off big man, that might work with the chicks, but not with me."
