I have to say that I caught this flick a couple of weeks ago with Jill Schoelen, Brad Pitt, Donovan Leitch, and Martin Mull. A boy seeks revenge on a group of classmates. Murder is treacherous and quite funny at times. A man is supposedly killed but keeps wondering around deserted land. Donovan Leitch has so many weird facial expressions in this film. It is obvious at several times that he is the killer. It is almost comical some of the murder scenes in this one.

One of the first films that Brad Pitt was in, I have to say that he has just gotten better with age. Did any of you guys catch this flick and have some fond memories that you would like to share with us? [Smile]

I saw this movie with a boyfriend who was a real no nonsense horror die-hard and he kept yelling at the creen "Oh come on! So corny!!!!"
I watched it again a few years ago and ...he's right. Well theres some good things about it and some bad things about it. Sadly Brad Pitt comes off as sort of dorky in this....so maybe he did get better with age. I think we all knew Donovan did it. I love Jill Schoelen. I think the father walking all the way home with an arrow sticking out of him and then yelling at his daughter for "CUTTING CLASS" was the dumbest part of the movie...and that may be where they lost me.
I dont doubt I will watch this again some day as it did have SOME entertainment value. (Hey...I watch SLEEPAWAY CAMP often and thats hardly SILENCE OF THE LAMBS!!!)
I dont know why but the scene I best remember is a boring pep rally that a cheerleader spices up by losing her panties.

Hey thanks for the reminder about Sleepaway Camp. That is one that I haven't seen that I am putting on my wish list. I am going to have to look it up on imdb.com and see who is in it. Thanks mamamiasweetpeaches!

I actually like "Cutting Class" because of Jill Schoelen, Donovan Leitch, and Brad Pitt. It attempts to be a comedy horror and those are very difficult to pull off. Jill was best in the "Stepfather" but she does an adequate job of continuing her underground movie 80's Scream Queen roles. Of course, Brad Pitt is very young, but you could tell he had something even then. And I think it's interesting Donovan Leitch started out as a dancer in "Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo" also.

I have another question, did anyone ever see the TV show, not the movie, "Best Of Times" from 1981 that had Nic Cage, Crispin Glover, & Jill Schoelen in it?

No I haven't but I just learned the other day that there was a Best of Times TV show and I didn't have a clue who starred in it. Check out info on imdb.com

I Love Jill Schoelen, I have almost every movie she has ever been in. I just picked up Phantom of the Opera with her and Freddie Kruger, which I haven't seen it, I got it at the Vintage Video place.

She seemed to be known for doing horror movies, even though not many people have heard of her.

I can't believe she isn't more well known, cause she was in movies like Babes in Toyland, and DC Cab, and those were pretty big. Even the Stepfather was a pretty big movie-at least I thought it was pretty popular.

I like her in Cutting Class, she was engaged to Brad Pitt at that time too.

I like her in the movie Rich Girl.

But my favorite Jill Schoelen movie is Curse 2-The Bite, that's a great movie-Mamamia, if you have never seen it, I highly recommend it, the special effects are really freaky. J. Eddie Peck is so cute in it.

She also was in When A Stranger Calls Back, which the beginning of that movie totally freaks me out, and she was in Chiller, and Popcorn.

Cutting Class was kind of lame, but I liked her house in that movie, and it was kind of a cool high school movie. I agree the killer was totally lame. He looked like a guy I knew in high school too, so that didn't help him in my book.

But, JLP..your on a ROLL............

wow ISIS...I musta missed CURSE 2 (and CURSE 1 for that matter!) Have to look for those.
Interesting to point out Jill Schoelen WAS engaged to Brad Pitt and then cheated on him while filming PHANTOM OF THE OPERA so they broke up. Wow...someone passed on Brad! Go figure!

Mamamia, I have never seen the first Curse either, but someone told me they have nothing to do with each other. I think you'd really like the Curse 2.

Another Jill Schoelen movie that I just saw recently, and fell asleep at the end, and want to finish it, cause I was liking it, is Thunder Alley with Leif Garrett.
