I'll be surprised if anyone writes a response to this cuz another website I visited implyed this show only played in parts of New York. well anyway STEAMPIPE ALLEY was an '80s kids show sort of like new school WONDERAMA and the host was hyper screaming man Mario Cantone (Richard Simmons on crack). Just watchin him bounce off the walls was amusing....but they also had kids doing contests and old school LOONEY TUNES cartoons and stuff like that.
Mario Cantone is doing a play right now (I know they wont let me post the titls, but here goes:LAUGH WHORE). I'm thinkin about getting tickets.

I LOVED THIS SHOW!

I thought the opening animation was unusually creative, and that Cantone was a scream (in more ways than one). I remember him spoofing Michael Douglas in "Wall Street" by saying in his abrasive voice "GREED IS GOOD!". The old cartoons and the games were entertaining, too.

Aaah...WWOR, long before UPN.

Sincerely,

John Kilduff...The Rock Steady Flamethrower
