Who is the 80s actor or actress that you think has been typecast the most?

I think obviously Molly Ringwald would be the actress most typecast because she was the epitomy of what we know as 80s teen films. I also think that Andrew McCarthy has been typecast. I caught a flick of him from the late 90s where he played a terrorist type character and I just wanted to laugh because he didn't fit the part.

Matt Dillon. For years he played basically the same role in every movie.

Devolution here,

Look no further than Matthew Broderick, you are talking about an actor that played at teen to early 20 year old for years.

There’s this guy ( I don’t know his name, he looks like Ron Wood from the Stones )
Anyway, it seems he’s always present whenever there’s a party going on.
I remember seeing him in ‘9 ½ weeks’ and in ‘The Wild Life’ And I’m almost certain I have seen him in some other movies too. Who the heck is this guy, does anybody know?

TKO, I can't speak for the guy in '9 1/2 weeks', but the guy in 'The Wild Life' is Ron Wood. [Wink]

The first person who came to mind for this post is the late great CHARLES BRONSON. It seems every movie I have seen of his that was made during the 80's is the same story over and over. He was either a cop or a vigillante cleaning up the streets....well someones gotta do it..!
And no-one did it better than Chuck.
Miss ya dude.
