Was gonna buy at Amazon but three or four buyers said to avoid it cuz it was the cut tv version! Nudity and language removed. Anyone back this up??

This is false info. I own the European Vacaton DVD, and there is nudity and foul language. Unless there is some kind of "family friendly" version out there...but I even bought mine at Wal*Mart, and it is uncut.

For those of you who have been putting off buying the National Lampoon's Vacation DVDs, now would be a good chance to buy 'em. There are new special editions of Vacation and Christmas Vacation available, along with European Vacation, which is in widescreen, and includes an audio commentary and trailers etc...and Vegas Vacation is being rereleased on DVD, now in anamorphic widescreen.

Thanks for the info! I heard that too about there being an edited version. I need to get European Vacation in my collection. I have it on VHS but I've been trying so hard to build up my DVD collection. It's coming along!
