It might be 'Ghost chase', also known as 'Hollywood monster'. It's about a puppet inhabited by the spirit of an old man. I seem to remember the characters driving around in a big black hearse in the movie. http://www.imdb.com/Title?0093201

Yes, it's definitely Ghost Chase, the name of the US DVD and UK/US VHS releases. Bit of a bad film but not bad enough to stop me watching my VHS of it a few times [Smile]
Paul Gleason scraped the barrel a bit after his role in The Breakfast Club, appearing in Ewoks: The Battle for Endor, Ghost Chase and Johnny Be Good, but I guess he likes the movie industry as he's been in so many films.
