Hey what the hell happened to the original thread? [Frown]

Anyway to continue where the missing thread left off, taking advantage of DVDSoon's free postage I just ordered these DVDs:

Ice Pirates
Masters Of The Universe
The Boy Who Could Fly
Weird Science
Pretty In Pink
Some Kind Of Wonderful

Replacing the VHSs I have of them, except Ice Pirates which I haven't seen before.

(aw crap, forgot to get The Breakfast Club... back to DVDSoon)

[Smile] Yay--I just ordered four movies on Sunday:

Little Shop of Horrors
Evil Dead
Evil Dead II
Army of Darkness

Army of Darkness came in yesterday.

I haven't been doing much shopping for myself lately, though, because of Christmas coming up. I don't want to buy something someone already got for me! Luckily I've finished shopping for gifts, so I can save up until after Christmas. [Big Grin]

When I went back to order The Breakfast Club, DVDSoon wouldn't let me buy it, saying something about a locked account? [Frown]

DVD buying has been expensive recently:

TekWar the series
Crusade the series (that spin-off from B5)
Knight Rider season 1
Evolution
Outland
Spacejacked

Well after seeing Rocksteady's list of movies he wants on DVD, I took some notes and headed to the vintage video store. I came home with:

Lovelines- I didn't know Jonna Lee from Making The Grade was in anything else?!?

Grandview U.S.A.-Wow, what a cast! Jamie Lee Curtis, C. Thomas Howell, Patrick Swayze, Jennifer Jason Leigh, John and Joan Cusack!!

Off Beat-Judge Reinhold and Meg Tilly!

Run-Patrick Dempsey and Kelly Preston

I Love NY-Scott Baio looking rather sexy! Whoo-hoo!

Then there's my Ebay purchases:
Listen To Me-Kirk Cameron and Jamie Gertz

Hamburger The Motion Picture-Leigh McCloskey

Just The Way You Are-Kristy McNichol

I have some work ahead of me! I've never seen any of these! Be prepared for follow-up posts [Big Grin] [Razz] [Big Grin] !

I bought SNEAKERS in the boxing day sale at our local Woolworths (thats not a plug, just stretching out the reply [Razz] )
It was only £5 and thats not too bad for a Robert Redford movie.Especially when its a good movie.
And i know its not 80's..but its only very early 90's.

My "awesome" younger brothers all chipped in and bought me a multiregion Dvd Player this Christmas, so I kinda went mad with buying movies I wanted so badly from overseas!

*Little Monsters
*Pee Wee's Big Adventure
*One Crazy Summer
*The Boy Who Could Fly
*Valley Girl (Muffy & Isis Scream!)
*The Breakfast Club
*Sixteen Candles
*A Christmas Story
*D.A.R.Y.L
*Explorers
*Weird Science
*Teen Wolf/Teen Wolf Too (Double Feature)
*Jurassic Park
*ET
*Problem Child Tantrum Pack (Movies 1 & 2)

Thats it for now though, I do need to budget more carefully! [Wink]

I actually sweet talked the nerdy manager guy at my local video store into selling me his copy of "The Wild Life"!

You see this great 80's movie is still not available on DVD ( whats going on Cameran??? )!

Yah its a pretty dirty copy, the sound and picture kinda stink. Guess I'll just have to wait with everyone else for the DVD, if I'm still alive for its release of course:(
