How old were you the first time you ever got drunk?

For me it was September 1983. Which would have put me at 18 years old. I was a couple weeks into my freshman year of college. I didn't drink during my high school years. I lived a pretty sheltered life until I finally got away from home the first time. I sure made up for lost time though once Mom and Dad couldn't monitor me all the time.

My brothers got my drunk when I was pretty young. Maybe 13. I don't remember anything about it, just the next morning. I think we were playing some sort of drinking game. Need less to say, they were never allowed to be in charge again!

I think I was 15..so...1988/89. Me and my buddies got some whisky...poured half a bottle of Pepsi out...and put the whisky in. It was in the winter and we had to stash it in the woods until a few days later. When we finally drank it..the pop was flat and it was a bit slushy from being out in the cold. Oddly enough...I think it was the best tasting drink I ever had (not kidding). I'm happy that I couldn't re-create it (not that I've tried)...I'm sure I'd be in big trouble. I recall not getting too wasted...just a little buzz on for my first time.

I was fairly sheltered in high school although I snuck out and was snuck out by others. Fall 1993 about 2 days into my freshman year of college was my first drunk experience. Wild Irish Rose followed by a couple of shots of vodka yeckkkkkkk. It's odd too that I waited that long to drink cause I smoked pot occasionally in high school and a teeny tiny bit my freshman year of college but stopped all together at the end of my freshman year of college.......

Hmmm tough one to remember this...

I think it was when I was about 14. We started bush drinkin as it was called about that age. A bunch of us guys sent the oldest looking of us, my friend Peter (RIP), to the off license(liquor store) for some cans of cider. He'd come cycling back up the road with a gearbag full and we'd drink them behind the graveyard. The buzz and craic we had was just brilliant. Great days, innocent days, stand by me days.. I miss em..

I think it's fairly common for a lot of kids who were sheltered in high school to satrt partying hard once they reach college. However I did see some of those sheltered kids stay away from the party scene.

OK guys, don't laugh when I say this but I was 28 the first time I got drunk.

I didn't start to drink until I was 28. I have an addictive personality and I was worried that if I started I would become an alcoholic!

I started drinking slowly, just one or two, and it was probably a couple months after I started drinking that I actually got drunk the frist time. Some friends came around and we made a batch of Illusions (Midori, vodka, Cointreau, Blu Curucao and pineapple juice). We played a drinking card game, and I had so many shots (probabably 20!) that I'm told I suddenly turned as green as the drink, then ran off to the bathroom.

I had an occasional beer or two when I was 13 and 14, but I first got smashed when I was 15. My buddy in school had a party when his parents went away for the weekend. We raided his cupboards of every kind of liquor in there imaginable. Stupidly, we mixed them all together in a huge bowl and went to town. Rough night after that for me. Alot of vomitting soon followed. It taught me a valuable lesson though....don't mix more than 10 different kinds of alcohol together before you drink it.

Ha ha ha hee hee whoo whooo....ohhhh...sorry Stitch....just kidding. No shame in that brother...that's a lot of money saved in my book. I remember first turning 19 and into my 20's...going to the bar would cost a fortune. You'd wake up in the morning with a pocket full of coins....100 or so dollars later...tons and tons of money down the drain...that's a lot of DVDs.....

Now that's funny! I try not to mix anything at all. And if anyone is calling to do shots, I only do one, and that is it. My stomach can't handle that crap like it used to.
The first time I got drunk I think I was 13 or 14. It was in the summer before 9th grade. I had a lot of beer for a 98lb. girl. I went home with the darn hiccups that I could not get rid of. After that, my friends and I were out partying as much as we could on the weekends during school. And I have kept up the partying to this day, just not as much mixing of the different kinds of alcohol! The first time I ever had any type of drink, I was 5 years old, and had about a cenimeter of beer in a juice glass!

True that, kev - just a shame that I managed to make up for it in the last 8 years since I started haha!!

Another thing I guess that made me afraid to drink was that I remember in health class in High School we were taught that people who start drinking alcohol at a young age are more at risk of developing cancer at a young age.

I was about 14.
Me and my friends got all dressed up told our parents we were going to see Batman Returns but went to the pub instead. My sensible friends didn't get too hammered but myself and another girl were drinking whiskey and got totally out of it. Of course we were caught out when we got home and could barely stand....Good times...

12... in rehab at 14! I just really liked to drink...! But when the teachers sent me home for being drunk in school, again and again, the party was over... well, sort of!

I wouldn't say that I was an alcoholic. But every problem,"inner demon", failure etc. was alcohol related, from I was 13 till I was 25!

But of course there was a truckload of good times and great memories with alcohol as well.

I rarely ever drink today... it's just not worth the hangover any more... im too old for that!

I have never been drunk. I can count on 1 hand how many times I have actually even drank alcohol. I never have liked the taste of it. I don't even like the smell of it. I sure don't like making a fool out of myself, and I don't like not being in control of my body or my brain. I never thought throwing up was a fun thing, I don't like headaches. I would never drive drunk, so sitting in my living room drinking alcohol sounds like a real fun time. I think it is the biggest waste of money I have ever seen.
I'd rather buy something cool , like a new car- for what people spend on alcohol and cigarettes-you can buy some awesome stuff. Even a case of beer could get you some cool dvds.

I think "Wasted" is the perfect word to associate with alcohol.

Soon we will all be watching any movie we want on cable or dish television, without having to play a dvd. So I am not"wasting" too much more money on buying anymore dvd's. The whole genre is on its way out the door. I'm gonna go "waste" my money on more booze for my poker party this weekend.

One time I passed out on the toilet in the restroom at Denny's. Guess 15 whiskey cokes were a little too much that night
