Here is another list of discontinued foods and drinks. It seems as though we have discussed this topic quite a few times here.

Pitts, that EZ Squirt looks disgusting, ..never heard of it?

I remember a few off the list. I never tried any of those. The Ecto Cooler sounds cool, only because of Ghostbusters. [Wink]

Devolution here,

Ecto cooler was originally called citrus fruit cooler, it was my favorite brand and flavor of Hi-C.

Oreo Big Stuf

I must have watched that a hundred times. I really like 80s commercials. [Smile] Everyone should have a look at the 80's Commercial Vault. They have a lot of videos there. Such happy times.

I loved Butterfinger BBs, Sprite Remix, jalapeno cheddar Doritos 3D and French Toast Crunch. I think the Ectoplasm-juice stuff looked cool too lol. Personally, I'm still upset over Nabisco discontinuing the Twigs crackers. [Wink]

Ronnie, Crystal Pepsi came out when I was in middle or high school, so that was early-mid 90s. I always thought it was nasty lol.

Does anyone remember Pepsi Free? It was popular in the 80s, before they named it Caffeine Free Pepsi. I thought it was delish--much better than regular Pepsi.

Well, I will admit there was a short time as a young teen when I was almost addicted to Crystal Clear Pepsi. That only lasted a short while though because I came to realize then that nothing could replace my one and only all time favorite carbinated sugary-rush in a can....

YUMMMMZ! [Big Grin]

I think they still sell this...unfortunetly, it's pretty much still only sold around the Southern California area...sucks for the rest of the world. They really need to sell this stuff worldwide. Makes me wish I was still in Cali [Frown]

Great thread!

I recall several of the items pictured after seeing them again. Millions of dollars are spent every year launching new items and very few make it.

This list reminds me of being on vacation in Myrtle Beach with my friends and picking up several 2-liters of this:

The label only says 2x the caffeine now, but it seems like back then it was like 4x or something crazy.  Either way, we drank some one night before going out and the label does not lie!

Dude, the purple ketchup was real. They also made a green version too. It was supposed to entice the children. I think it looked disgusting.
Heinz used to make a spicy ketchup that I really loved too.

A couple of us were just talking about those colored ketchups. Talk about a marketing disaster by Heinz. No one, no kids liked that crap.

Does anyone remember Jamaica Cola, which I believe was made by Royal Crown? Just terrible! It was all syrup, not much cola. When I was in college in the mid-70s, we used to get it from a vending machine at a no-tell motel in Richmond, Virginia, and chug cans of it as a "test of manhood."
