A friend of mine showed me this yesterday and I had to share it with you guys. We're not sure the long story behind it except whats on the site but man i'm motivated!!

from the site:

"I love old photos. I admit being a nosey photographer. As soon as I step into someone else’s house, I start sniffing for them. Most of us are fascinated by their retro look but to me, it’s imagining how people would feel and look like if they were to reenact them today... A few months ago, I decided to actually do this. So, with my camera, I started inviting people to go back to their future."

There are many more on her website!!
I just really wanted to give kudos to how well they are done and how cool of an idea.

Got any ideas of some of your own you would love to recreate? Everyone has favorite old photos of yourself...or and family? Got cool photo stories??

muffy, that is a great find [Smile]

i have something like this i can share... when my daughter was around 4 (i think) i made her take a picture similar to one i had of myself when i was the same age. i was standing in front of my dad's piano, wearing a romper outfit haha.
knowing my dad still had the piano (he still does now), i made my daughter put on one of my old rompers from when i was her age, and stood her in front of the piano.. our hair do-s are sort of the same, but her's is lighter...we have the same stance and smiles! i have the pictures in a frame, side by side. [Smile]
i will post it here, i just have to get them scanned. as soon as i do that, i will add it on here!

Muffy and Ronnie.. this thread is beyond awesome!

The pics above as just brilliant and I wish I had more pics of myself from the 80's that I could try something like this on. I need to contact my friends because I know they have a few pics from our vacations at various beaches across the country. Of course, I will need Ronnie's daughter to dress like me back then to make this photo op work. [Wink]

One of my girlfriends whose really into photography showed me the site because she knew i'd love the 80ness of it.

My mom was always into photography she's probaly actually more into it now....but back then she actually took some cool photos of my sis and I...there is one of myself she took i'm thinking about having her do this now of me. [Smile] I'll find my copy of the old one and share.

I love those photos!

Me and all of my 1st cousins on my Mom's side of the family took this really cute group picture back in the 80's. It was done in a studio, but was so funny because we were all really young and doing silly things in the photo, like one girl was laughing, one was playing with her hair, etc....So a few years ago at Xmas we all got together to "re-create" the photo by standing in the same spots and posing just like we did before. Our grandparents ended up loving it [Smile] I will have to see if I can upload them here...
