i recently saw funny people starring adam sandler & seth rogan.
it got me thinking, who do you think will be the next great comics in film?

watching funny people really made me start to like jonah hill. his scenes were my favorite in this movie.
seth rogan's movies (not all, but some) are quite good as well.

paul rudd started out acting in romantic comedies and now has turned into this hilarious big actor that i love seeing in movies.

who are some of today's actors that make you laugh consistently, who you think will grow to be big names in comedic films?

Paul Rudd is who first came to mind for me. I like Rogan but he's becoming Sandler-esque in casting the same people in his films time after time after time. I wish Steve Carrel would do more film......

Kevin James looks like the brightest hope in an increasingly dim world of self-centered narcists who frankly have betrayed the basic tenets of American comedy (E Pluribus Insanium) for cold hard cash, and thus deserve to be locked in a room with Jake Roberts and DDTed repeatedly (and if they still wouldn't crack be shown the inside of Damien's throat) until they'd agree to change their ways. But there's always hope for a brighter tomorrow; even in darkest times there's always someone to find, and I'm pretty sure in time, several will step forward and reveal themselves.

I should also give a nod to Ricky Gervais. Even though his movies suck, his television and standup work are top-notch. He's one of the funniest people on the planet, imo.

Devolution here,

Ghost Town is really good. My new favorite to listen to is Daniel Tosh. He's a riot.
