VH1 today is playing cheesy love songs performed on Countdown (1974-1987). There are some doozies!

Love at first night - Kim Hart
True Love - Billy Field
What is love - Howard Jones (I really love this song!)
One perfect day - Little Heroes
Bad case of loving you - Robet Palmer
Kiss on my list - Hall and Oates
Spend the night - Cheetah
Hey little girl - Icehouse
Total control - The Motels
Love Action - Human League
Love is in the air - John Paul Young
Say I love you - Renee Geyer
Lost in love - Air Supply
Head over heels - Tears for fears
Total Eclipse of the heart - Bonnie Tyler (who doesn't love this song?!)
It must be love - Madness (I protest this songs inclusion in this list!)
You are so beautiful - Joe ****er

Here are a few cheesy classics, some of which I actually have a fondness for, but most are just corny as hell:

Paul Davis - Cool Night (yes, I like this one)

Neil Sedaka - Laughter in the Rain (for years I thought it was a woman singing this song. And the lyrics are just silly)

Christopher Cross - The Best You Can Do (Arthur's Theme)

Benny Mardones - Into the Night (I like this one too, but the child-predator lyrics are creepy)

England Dan & John Ford Coley - I'd Really Love to See You Tonight

Stephen Bishop - It Might Be You

The cheesiest love song for me would have to be
"Nothing's Gonna Stop us Now" by Jefferson Starship. And not cheesy in a good way. I heard the song played in a commercial on TV today and the chunks just started to build up in my stomach as it always does when I hear that song.
I just really REALLY HATE!! that song. I can't even watch alot of the 80's romance movies because about 70% of them have that song in the movie.

Everybody! -
"And we can build this dream together
Standing strong forever
Nothing's gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of lovers
We'll still have each other
Nothing's gonna stop us now"
