I got the flu for Christmas! I was so sick all day yesterday...everyone in my house was sick. It was awful. I feel alot better this morning, but I had to cancel dinner for today, but I am going to cook for tomorrow, so I don't waste all the food I bought.

Here's everything I got (so far)-I still have people to see and exchange with (I probably won't be done until after the New Year)

I got the People magazine "Celebrate the 80s"-I have been reading it all morning (I am going to post about a bunch of stuff from in it)

Anyway I got:

A beautiful Christmas Centerpiece with 3 candles
a diamond and amethyst bracelet
2 chocolate oranges
a Cuisinart pots and pan set
A Presto Electric Griddle
Christmas Scented Bath Gels, soaps, body
lotions and bubble bath
Isotoner slippers
A recipe book from my hometown

My brother and his wife made me this really cool
Reindeer that his nose lights up, and she painted the name of our Bed N Breakfast on it...it is really big...it's so cute.

Earlier I got:

80s Trivia Pursuit
a collection of 80s music on 4 CDs

A Giant Candy Cane Christmas decoration

A "welcome Christmas" sign

A Pink Poinsettia

Christmas Potholders, hand lotion and a Mix to make a Banana Rum Cheeseball

So far I think I have done pretty darn good.

I hope you all are having a nice Christmas.

I think we are going to just hang out and try and recover from yesterday and work on making food for dinner tomorrow night.

Merry Christmas!

A few DVDs (Sixteen Candles, Breakin, Wanted, some old black and white Christmas movies), CDs (The Cure and Nina Simone), a couple Twilight books, some clothes, and a few other tid bits....I musta been a good boy. All well in Nova Scotia...a very good Christmas. Hoping everyone else had a great Christmas as well. Take care.....

Yeah...I watched it about 4 months ago. I bought the movie a while back through a movie club (Columbia House) and was quite disappointed when I got it and it was an alternative cover...we talked about this on previous posts....I need the original covers...the ones I would have seen when I was a kid. Anyway, me and my wife were shopping and she found the movie, with the original cover, for only $5.00...so she bought it for me. I've yet to get part two, or Beat Steet, but they are on the top of my list...now that I'm out of my Halloween and Christmas movie stint, I'll focus on some of my old favs. I'll have to figure out what to do with this Blue Ray thing...I can't imagine starting my 80's movie collection over....

Yeah...I know what you mean. I love watching holiday movies at the right time of year. I am so bummed out over Christmas being over...I feel like I really didn't have a Christmas yesterday because we were sick, but now I am feeling 100% better, and I have a ton of energy and I want to do a billion things now... my Dad called today and he's coming to visit me on Sunday, so we are going to do the dinner that we should have done yesterday then, so I don't waste $200 worth of food in my fridge. But, I am like thinking of movies I want to see after Christmas. I usually watch "Ice Castles" around this time of year, because of the cold weather and all that. I think I really want to watch some goofy comedies...like maybe get the first season of Laverne and Shirley , or some other funny show, that is just pure goofiness.

My son got a Playstation 3, and it has a built in Blue Ray...and I said there's no way I am starting all over again with all my movies going to that. I might get a few from here on out.

Tomorrow night I have B & B people, so I am planning on watching Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte with my mom, cause I have never seen it. So, I kind of would like to start watching some older movies...like suspense and thrillers too.

January is like the most long and boring month of the year...so it is the month I really like to do alot of movie watching.
I have been writing down some new ones I want to see , from people talking about alot of older ones I have never seen before. I love it when people bring up names of movies I have never heard of.

I agree on this. Throw February in there too. These 2 months are brutal for me because of all the outdoor activities(golf, roller hockey, softball, wiffleball, etc.)that the snow and cold prevent me from doing. It seems like these 2 months last a year sometimes.

As far as gifts....I did get some cash, gift cards, and a very cool Iron Maiden wrist-watch.

You should take up some snow sports....I know to break up the month we are planning a trip to my favorite ski resort, to go snowtubing, and I want to ride in a Snowcat- I have always thought that would be cool.

February has Valentine's Day in it, so I decorate for it, and have a big party. Plus it actually is the shortest month, so I can handle it.

Plus...I look forward to getting my taxes done then.

I don't like January either, but for the opposite reason - it's just so darn hot!

It's been a cool summer so far, but today is going to be 34 degrees C... as soon as I woke up this morning I could tell it as gonna be a hot one!

I still keep getting stuff. Yesterday I got a huge fruit basket, and a cool winter night light with a deer and a pine tree covered in snow, and
I got these cool bowls made out of bees wax that you put water in them and float a candle in them-my friends got them at a museum over the summer and saved them for me.

I love getting odd stuff that people find at places that I can't go to around here.

I got a couple of gifts from customers today at work - one customer found out that I'm a Survivor nut and gave me a Survivor Exile Island mouse pad they bought in America a few years back.

And another came in especially to thank me for the help I gave them during the year, and to give me a cake.

It's little things like that that make it all worth while.

I still have been getting more stuff. The other day my friends got me a Pizzelle maker. Does anyone know what they are?

They are like a little wafer round cookie, that you cook in a machine- kind of like a waffle maker.

You can make them anise flavored and put powdered sugar on them, they have a snowflake design on them. I love them.

I can't wait to make them. There is a recipe book in it, to make chocolate ones, so I want to make chocolate cannolis for Valentine's Day.

Alot of people I know, didn't know what they are.

You can buy them in the bakery.

I love them, my friend gave me a whole container of them, that her mom made for me, and I ate them all!
