I noticed in the current TV shows thread that I'm not alone here in appreciating Survivor. Still one of the best if not the best reality shows out there and I feel it will never be duplicated.

Was wondering of the Survivor fans who you like of the remaining 8 left in Gabon.

Ken
Crystal
Susie
Matty
Sugar
Bob
Corinne
Randy

here's my assessment

Ken--Playing the game pretty hard and could win but I feel he's getting too c0cky and is setting himself up for a blindside. I don't either like or dislike him so a Ken victory wouldn't be that bad.

Crystal--I hate this b!tch. She seems to be a phony to me. Don't feel she stands a good chance of winning but could go far if Ken sticks around and he carries her there with him. A Crystal win would be the worst possible outcome for me.

Susie--Stabbed her original alliance in the back. I feel she has no end game. I don't see anybody voting for her if she reaches the end so could be a good one to keep around.

Matty--Playing a good game plus seems to be pretty well liked by cverybody which is always important. One of the last remaining physical threats remaining so could win a lot of immunity necklaces down the stretch. A Matty win would be OK to me.

Sugar--As sweet as her name. I just want to put her in my pocket and keep her. Has been the swing vote in many votes already so she could either become a target or somebody you want to keep around as she seems to be easily manipulated. She also has the hidden immunity idol. A Sugar win would be satisfying for me.

Bob--Seems to be a real nice guy who everybody likes. Doesn't appear to be playing to hard as his alliance has carried him so far. Don't think he stands much a chance of winning but I wouldn't be upset if he does.

Corinne--Turning into a bigger b!tch every week. Used to like her in the beginning but my appreciation for her drops every week. I feel her chances of winning are slim to none.

Randy--One of the biggest jerks in Survivor history yet he's been my favourite since week 1. I guess I appreciate him for being an a$$hole because he doesn't hide the fact. He doesn't try and hide it from everybody like Crystal tries to hide her b!tchiness. I honestly feel that either Randy will go in the next week or two or he will win the whole thing; don't think there's too much middle ground there. A Randy win would make me do a little victory dance in my living room.

You summed it up pretty good Sam. It's hard not to like Sugar....what a doll. It's hard not to dislike Crystal....what a *$#&!. Corinne thinks she knows everything, but not too bad to look at. I'll give Randy or Matty the edge for winning right now, but that could change with one dumb move or comment.

Still one of the best reality shows on TV. I've seen every season of Survivor since the beginning. I bet there are alot more Rewinders watching this who didn't admit to it, or just never responded on my thread.

I'm a big Survivor fan too. And I pretty much agree with your assessment 100% Sammy, except that I actually don't mind Susie. If you think about it, what has she really done wrong? She turned on an alliance that has been nothing but rude and arrogant towards her and has been more than obvious about their plans to jettison her at 6. So as far as I can see, she's just making logical moves that you or I would if we were in the same position. And considering that all the Kota 6 are lying through their teeth to her, I don't think she owes them anything in return. Right now I'm rooting for Sugar to win.

I like Sugar. I hope she wins. Randy is kinda strange, one minute he's normal the next minute he's manic. Crystal is a witch. But so far, I have found this Survivor kinda boring at times.

I love watching that stupid Corinne thinking she has the whole game figured out and then having the rug pulled out from under her every week. That just keeps getting funnier and funnier. I think Sugar tipped her hand a bit this week, showing she's not as clueless as she lets on. Fortunately for her none of the rest of them seem to be sharp enough to notice that, though. I'm still rooting for her and Matty.

We are a season behind on TV here so I have to download each episode every week. I avoided this thread until I had caught up, so here is my 2cents

Matty - I'm suprised that I like him, he's a strong physical threat but he's also a bit cooky and weird.

Ken - I'm worried that he's setting himself up as a power player and will have to be taken down. He seems like a great guy and has otherwise played a good game.

Crystal - I like her, she's opinionated but she's not a bitch. She's been very disappointing in challenges tho, considering she's an Olympic medalist. And I loved her outloud comments during her vote at tribal council.

Susie - I like her too. I can't blame her for flipping from the Kota 6, after all she was originally Fang. And I was so happy that she one the fire starting immunity challenge.

Corinne - I read pre season that she was going to be a mega bitch and she let me down early on, but she's making up for it now. I bet her family must have so proud to hear her say she wanted to stab Susie in the face.

Bob - I'm a wellwisher of Bob's, in that I don't wish him any specific harm. They will need to get rid of him soon because he is popular and will have plenty of jury votes if he makes the finals.

Sugar - by far the smartest person in the game. I love that everyone has totally under estimated her, and she's been in total control of the game for weeks - and letting everyone think that Kenny and Crystal are running the game! I was worried that Randy's ouster was showing a vindictive streak, but I think in that case how could anyone not be vindictive towards Randy!?!

Randy. Well.... I thought early on that I might respect him for tailoring his personality to fit in with his tribe, like Rudy did back in the day. But he was just so nasty, bigotted, rude and hateful that he deserved the absolutely humiliating way he was voted out. I have watched that tribal council 4 times now and just cannot stop laughing, it's by FAR my favorite episode of all time!

Best of all, I love how Sugar's dangerous plan to boot Randy (right up there with Cirie's triple play back in Season 12) was for completly non strategic reasons, it was purely personal!

I think this season has been fantastic. The only thing I haven't enjoyed is Probst's obvious hatred toward Fang! Every week in the "previouslies" he slams them, insults them... sure they haven't performed well in challenges, but look how it's turned out - the Fangians were able to use their challenge failures to boot a whole lot of original Kota members after the tribal switch, meaning there was a good number of original Fangians at the merge. And it worked, Susie went straight back to Kenny, Crystal and Matty, and naturally Sugar joined them because of the way Kota treated her by sending her to Exile so often ( I guess the jokes on them haha)

Anyway, I'm a bit of a Survivor obsessive if you can't tell, and I'd better shut up now or I'll never stop! Can't wait for next week, I should have it by Tuesday!!

After downloading the latest episode, I was a little disapointed to see it was a recap episode... but it did begin to make some sense of Probst's outward hostility towards Fang, as it became a redemption story of the outcasts and weaklings managing to outlast the strong and might.

I especially loved at the end during the "coming up on Survivor" clips, they mention Sugar having to choose between good (Matty, Crystal, Kenny) and evil (Corinne). I guess after all, Gabon is earth's last Eden, it's all about the good and evil!

I consider Crystal to be far from good. She appears to be unbearable to be around camp plus her flipping off the camera when she voted off kelly. Plus her laughing over the Randy vote off was a little too much. It was OK to fool him the way they did but the over laughing was wrong on many levels and I feel it not only lost a possible jury vote from Randy it could have lost votes from other potential jurors as well. If it's good vs evil I feel the good right now are Kenny, Matty, Bob and Susie and the evil are Sugar, Corinne and Crystal.

Sammy, I've watched the Randy booting probably a dozen times at least and I can't help but laugh uncontrollably every time! Never in Survivor history has someone been so deservedly humiliated, and my hat is off to Sugar for making it so!

I have a feeling that both Sugar and Crystal weren't to concerned about losing a jury vote from Randy, because there was no way in hell he was ever going to vote for either of them [Smile]

Now we just need to get rid of Corinne and Bob for there to be an F5 I'm happy with.

Without revealing anything so to not spoil it for Stitch....tonights episode I thought was one of the best of all time for drama and twists and gameplay. Even fans of the bootee all should agree that the episode as a whole was pretty darn epic

Don't worry Sammy, I make sure I don't jump into this thread without having seen the episode, so don't worry about revealing spoilers.

I always try my best to avoid spoilers coz I like the exitement and suspense of watching each week, no matter what the program. But unfortunately I accidently found out who won Cycle 11 of ANTM, and we are only 3 weeks into the program here on TV. While I'm pleased about who wins, it was definately not someone I expected, and makes me wonder how far the current favorites make it. (This week we just had the shock booting of Lauren Brie, who I thought would make it all the way to Final 2)

And you're right, the last ep of Survivor was a great one. I was worried that Kenny and Crystal would fall for the fake idol thing, and in fact I think Kenny did completely but luckily Crystal realised that the whole thing didn't make sense. I also thought to myself that if it did work, it's not such a bad thing if Matty were to go.

And I realised there was a downside to the Randy booting - the fact that he missed the "loved ones" episode. Knowing that he hates everyone he's ever met, my guess is that they would have to bought over the urn containging the ashes of his dead dog!!!!

Did you hear that in interviews he's been saying that he hopes Bob has a fatal heart attack?

Speaking of Survivor in general, what is everyone's favourite and least favourite seasons?

My favourite is probably Guatemala. They had an interesting mix of people, great scenery, it introduced the "hidden" immunity idol and featured the amazing come from behind victory of Danni Boatwright.

My least favourite is Vanuatu. It had some great people too, and yet another come from behind victory by Chris Dougherty, but perhaps because it came off the back of All Stars, it just didn't excite me.

Sugar, Sugar, Sugar, what have you done?

I'm glad Bob won, he's a nice guy. But Sugar had the game in the bag if she'd taken Ken and Susie to the final 3 with her. I think she believed she couldn't win, and so decided to take the most deserving people with her, and if that's the case then she underestimated herself as much as everyone else in the game did.

Sugar lost because this jury was spiteful and voted out of hurt feelings (Marquesas, AllStars, and Vanuatu were similar). If they had voted based on superior gameplay and respect for the best player, Sugar would have one easily (as in Fiji and Cook Islands)

I would put Sugar up with Rob Cesternino and Cirie Fields as one of the best players never to win the game.
