It seemed milk was a bigger deal 25-30 years ago. I barely remember the 70's, but I can still remember the glass milk bottles accumulating and there was an actual milkman who came to your door. God I miss that. Even in the 80's there would be a school plan where we would all get milk at a certain time of day at recess. Maybe the dairy industry needs to have some throwback promotions or something.

I know what you mean though, because we had to drink milk every day for lunch and supper. I actually was never allowed soda. You really don't see kids drinking milk much any more. But, they are heavily promoting it, and promoting the fact that it can help make you lose weight. But, I think it is over powered by flavored waters and power drinks.

jdoc...you mean you've neer seen a pink cow...or a chicken cow? My wife tricked me into drinking skim milk. When we met, I was drinking 2%....then we were down to 1%....then .5%...I put my foot down..."I'm not drinking yucky watery skim milk" I said......she's tricked me again, but I don't mind it...and better for you I guess....once in a while I'll steal a sip of my son's whole milk [Big Grin]

I guess I'm an old fashioned kinda fella but I love my full strength milk. I love an icy cold tall glass with a chocolate muffin, or a delicious chocolate "Big M".
