Anyone have any in particular that stand out? My two worst ones involved being cleated by a kid sliding into home plate as a catcher during my sixth grade year and getting 10 stitches in my leg. The other one happened in 10th grade. I caught a pass and was darting for the endzone. I had a clear path when all of a sudden this gargantuan in pads hit me low. My leg went numb. I was lying on the ground, looked down, and my kneecap was on the left side of my leg so needless to say my football days were over. The hardest part for me with that was the fact that we were all playing with very heavy hearts because of a fellow team member and friend passing out and dying on the field the summer before during practice.. I felt like I'd let his family and the whole team down. I ended up having to have athroscopic (sp)surgery on my knee two weeks later. I can still tell to this day when it's going to rain due to my knee aching beforehand.......

Tore a ligament(?) in my leg doing taekwondo. Tore something (don't know the word in english) in my foot doing muay thai, that still plagues me. But now im training tibetan white crane kung fu and kick boxing. Just had to tone down the power kicks.

I must admit that I've been real lucky(knocking on wood as we speak.) I was, and am, HEAVILY into sports my whole life. From: Baseball, Hockey, Golf, Bowling, Skateboarding, Bike Riding and Stunts, Football, Softball, and more. Never broke a bone in my body and no major injuries. With that said, my back has taken ALL the toll. But, I'm still going strong. [Wink]

I'm from Canada, so football wasn't as popular as hockey or baseball, but I remember being about 13 or 14 years old playing football with a bunch of kids from the neighborhood. I had the ball and was running for the goal line, when I seen my buddy gunnin' for me. I outstretched my left arm to block...when he ran into it, broke my wrist in two places. I kept running and got the touch down...which made me look super cool....but then I dropped the ball and went home crying....looked very tuff for a few seconds though!

I've been real lucky as well playing sports like hockey, baseball, softball and soccer. Never broke a bone, never any serious injury. But I did take a puck to the chin and got stitches, I also had some shin splints playing soccer but that's about it so I feel lucky.

No serious injuries here.

I played soccer 10 seasons in the fifth division.
Some athletics (long jump and 100 meters mainly) when i was a kid.

Nowadays it´s tennis in the summertime and
floorball during winter.

All in all i´m into all kinds of sports.

I saw this and said "what the heck is this?" So I had to look it up. Looks like a form of hockey to me. We don't see floorball over here. I'd love to play it.

I played football and baseball, mostly baseball growing up. No serious accidents. I got hurt pretty bad in my Moo Duk Kwan (think Taekwondo ) class. two sprained wrist and a sprained ankle during a belt test. The doctors said I would have been better off breaking my wrist because it would hurt less and heal faster. He was correct. Tough instructors (4 of them). It took about ten years for the pain to go away.

Fishing (it's a sport kind of [Smile] ) accident, on the boat ramp... I blew out my knee, tore my ACL completely off, stretched and tore my PCL, rolled my kneecap and my leg was out to one side. Popped it back in and tried to stand up. BAD IDEA! Fell into the lake, had to be driven to the hospital after I got my boat onto the trailer (took 45 minutes). Missed three months of work! - Well, they had me work remotely. Three months of therapy though... At least I caught some nice bass (fish) that day... heheee.... Another time I fell off a stool drinking a mug of beer and bumped my head. Does that count? -

That reminds me of the scene in Revenge of the Nerds 2: Nerds in Paradise.
