"The Dark Knight Rises" is probably the most anticipated film of 2012 for me. Under the direction of Christopher Nolan this will mark the conclusion of the rebooted Batman trilogy. The second installment "The Dark Knight" was just wicked awesome and the chase scene showed everyone how to properly utilize the IMAX theater experience. Heath Ledger was mesmerizing as the Joker in it and for 80's fans.. finding Anthony Michael Hall in it was a blast.

 -

They showed a preview of "The Dark Knight Rises" at the MI-4 screening and it was visually stunning while not revealing too much about the plot which I enjoyed! Bane looked way creepy. My only reservation is I'm not quite sure about Anne Hathaway as Catwoman.. but I'm ready to find out if she can bring it.

 -

What I did like seeing was that Nolan brought Joseph Gordon-Levitt over from "Inception" for a walk on the darkside.

 -

Even better was the flash of 80's icon Matthew Modine on screen sporting a uniform. I hope both these guys leave us with memorable performances.

 -

"The Dark Knight Rises" premieres on Friday July 20th, 2012. This is another film that is best seen in an IMAX theater.. can't wait!! [Cool]

Certainly any well-intended take on Bane would have to be better than the ludicrously horrid version seen in Batman & Robin; fortunately, it seems they have nailed him this time. Rumors persist that they might actually dare to kill off Bruce Wayne at the end; let's see what happens.
