My mom and I heard the music to the Mexican Hat Dance today, and I totally could remember roller skating to that song, it had a whole little routine that went with it, just like the Hokie Pokie did, does anyone else remember it?

Can't say I do, but I must say this...

I never liked line dances, dance crazes or dance routines. I feel that the dance should be an individual thing...It should be a thing that represents you as an individual.

EDIT: Forgive the redundancy in that last sentence, but the sentiment does bear repeating.

I will kowtow to no one with my dancing...It's my rhythm, my rules.

Sincerely,

John Kilduff

John- There's absolutely no skill involved in either of the dances I mentioned, they are pretty self explainatory. [Wink]

I know there's no skill involved in either. It's just that...

Well, in my school days I was treated like (bleep) but, as if by some magic, the kids put their belittling aside when I danced. They cheered me on and complimented me. I did it by doing my own thing. For just those few moments I fit in and nobody hated me.

That's why I value individuality in the dance...It lets you loose from what the world views you as, if only for a few minutes. You can't get that out of a line dance.

Sincerely,

John Kilduff

I like ThE CHICKEN DANCE. I made them play it at my wedding. I used to play it at every party I had, now it only gets played at the luas. I'm the only one who likes it.
I like the song ELECTRIC SLIDE but I dont know how to do the dance.
