I had such a HUGE crush on Rick Springfield back in the 80's. He's the one person I would love to see in concert, I can't believe I he was at Colonial Williamsburg/Busch Gardens this summer- and I missed him there by 1 weekend.

I LOVE every song he ever did.

I love his arms.

I like his music. Souls is his best IMO. Human Touch is very good as well.

You can't post a Rick Springfield thread without me once again mentioning the aerobics scene from "Private School" choreographed brilliantly to the tune "The American Girl".

I can't find a clip of that scene from Private Girls or I would have posted that.

Kevdugp73-I use to watch General Hospital every day...and when Rick Springfield was on, my Aunt and I drooled all over the tv screen.

He is still on General Hospital....he looks so different...he has had some bad plastic surgery. His hair style now, makes him look pretty greasy looking, and his mouth is different, and he always looks kind of sad and depressed. He still has nice arms, except he covered them all up with tattoos. I prefer the 80's Rick.

back in '84 my friend and i went to the movies to see "Where the Boys Are '84". even though we were both under 17(i was 14 my friend was 15) we thought we could get in. well of course they id'd us and they wouldn't give us a break. we got dropped off there so we couldn't just leave. this was a theater that only had 2 movies showing, so we had to sit through the other flick: Hard To Hold. truly one of the most awful things i've ever sat through. there were about 4 of us in the place. while waiting outside after the movie for our ride we saw the other theater empty out and everyone was laughing and smiling which just made what we sat through feel worse.

i still have never seen Where the Boys Are '84 and i don't think i could.

Jesse's Girl still rules though.

xchazx, did you say 'Hard to Hold' or its better known title 'Hard to Watch'? The concert with the tune "Love Somebody" was easily the best part.

I will say that "Where the Boys Are '84" was a decent movie, but it wasn't like you missed "Fast Times At Ridgemont High" or anything that day. You should watch it, might make you feel better.

Just watched this amazing EFX Alive! show.
EFX was a Las Vegas Strip production show residing at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino which opened on March 23, 1995 and closed January 1, 2003.
When it premiered, it was the most expensive and largest scaled theater installation in the world. Springfield was in the lead role in 2001-2003.
Some of the themes are Merlin/Arthur, Houdini and H.G. Wells. Rick performs his own tunes too. Dancing, singing and lots of fantastic special effects. I liked this one very much.

You could get the dvd only through the official Rick Springfield merchandise site as part of The Day After Yesterday Limited Edition box. Don´t have a clue if it´s still available.
Anyone here who saw this spectacle in Vegas??
