Going to see these two bands on the evening before Easter. I'll be going on a fun bus to the casino along with about 5-6 girls so that alone should be fun right there. The bar that sponsors the fun bus also will be providing free beer and alcohol for the ride down there. Have always heard that Firehouse is good in concert and pretty excited about seeing Warrant too now that former Black N Blue lead singer Jamie St James is fronting Warrant. Hoping they'll throw in a couple BNB songs as they were always one of my favourite underrated metal bands of the 8os.

Some of my favourite Warrant songs are

Down Boys
Heaven
Uncle Toms Cabin
Sometimes She Cries
I Saw Red

also just found out that in either June or July that Tesla will be playing at the same venue that Warrant/Firehouse will be playing at. Hopefully will be going on the fun bus for that one too.

anybody ever see Warrant, Firehouse or Tesla in concert and if so how were they?

My favorite 80s Warrant songs are "Heaven" and "Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich".

I don't have any favorite Firehouse songs and even if I did, I would discuss them on the 90s forum due to their first album being released in 1990.

Sincerely,

John Kilduff...

True. But they started out in the 80s. [Roll Eyes]

I've always associated them with the 90s. It's like Nirvana. They started out in the late 80s, but nobody considers them an 80s band. Same thing with Firehouse. I'm sure they played concerts in the late 80s, but their first recorded material was released in 1990.

Once again, it's just a joke...My shtick, my patter, my rap.

Sincerely,

John Kilduff...

To go back to Warrant, why did the cover of "D.R.F.S.R" remind me of Gerald Scarfe's depiction of The Judge in "Pink Floyd: The Wall"?

But it doesn't matter what era you associate Nirvana with. The fact is that they played their first gig in 1987. If your going to make stupid comments, you should at least stick to your own rules. The same goes for Warrant and Firehouse. They started out in the 80s. That makes them an 80s band. If they had started out in the 90s, then they'd be a 90s band. The fact is they are making music while your making pointless comments...

And since you say Nirvana is a 90s band, then why do you mention them on an 80s music forum?

I should've been more accurate. Nirvana released one album in the 80s (1989's "Bleach"), but it was a rather underground thing. They wouldn't break through until the 90s, so you can't really consider them an 80s band.

I had to use it as an example of how just because a band started in the 80s doesn't make them an 80s band. They were the first artists who came to mind. Although they did release an album in the 80s, only the most hardcore of their fans would associate them with that decade. You and Sam are fans of the group so you would.

Sincerely,

John Kilduff

Warrant just wouldn't seem like Warrant without Jani Lane. [Frown] Still, though, it would be cool to see them in concert. I was a HUGE Warrant fan. I don't think they had a song on their first two albums that I didn't like.

I saw Warrant in the late 90s. They were on the bill with Firehouse, Slaughter, and Quiet Riot. All the bands were great except Warrant. They were the last band to take the stage and at that point they were so high they totally screwed up their set. They stopped during the middle of songs and told them to turn the house lights on and crap like that. I was disappointed and so was the group of people I went with so we ended up leaving before getting to hear Cherry Pie. [Frown]
