Ever hear a great song on the radio or something, but thinking of the mediocre video that went with it makes you cringe? A few days ago, the Eurythmics there must be an angel playing with my heart came on, really forgot how much I used to like it, but I really couldn't stand that Baroque period video with Dave Stewart looking all absurd in his period costume.

There's other videos like Tommy Tutone's 867-5309 Jenny and Billy Squier's the Stroke that just have the token live footage that kind of makes it unmemorable.

The funniest Billy Squier video is Rock Me Tonight. You know the one: He has on torn jeans, white socks and a torn FLASHDANCE like t-shirt and he's rolling around on a bed like he's the sexiest thing on Earth! I love that video! It's so bad it's good!

The YES video for Owner Of A Lonely Heart was very strange (weird imagery such as maggots and snakes), and someghow as kids made us enjoy the song less.

The Total Eclipse Of the Heart (BONNIE TYLER) (School boys with glowing eyes)video did the same thing. We would run out of the room when it came on despite the fact we loved the song!

I Ran by FLOCK OF SEAGULLS (What is up with all that tinfoil???) is odd...but almost sort of works cuz...well, FLOCK OF SEAGULLS were pretty odd as is. Same can be said of Personal Jesus by DEPECHE MODE (Are they in a spahetti Western here???)

We big (female) fans od DURAN DURAN were a little shocked and worried when we saw the risque Girls On Film and The Chauffer videos (Nipples, nipples everywhere!)

I just recently saw REAL LIFE's Send Me An Angel (Faires and monsters and such running through the forest) and cant make a whole lotta sense out of it. Love the song though!

WINGER had one about a man losing his wife in a fiery car crash. He spends the whole video working his way up to his suicide attempt ands then at the last minute chickens out. (Cant remember the title right now)

Just heard Heart Attack by OLIVIA NEWTON JOHN. The song, in which ONJ gushes things like "Your the cutest thing I've ever seen" and "Must have died and gone to heaven, what a way to go" would lead you to think she's singing about some hot guy, huh? Nope. The video has her chasing a little kid around. How dumb.

Dont even get me started on Physical! (Also ONJ)

The song and music video for Olivia Newton-John's "Physical" was pretty racy for its time in the early 80's. It's nothing by today's standards, but I guess quite a few people were stunned to see that Olivia was involved in it!

[Eek!]

We were just talking about him so it brought to mind the Never Gonna Give You Up video. everyone trashes that one. I never liked RICK ASTLEY either way. And supposedly people saw his videos and went "HOLY S***...he's WHITE!!!!"
