I went for a ride earlier today, and had the radio on my favorite Classic Rock station...and I am probably dangerous driving when I hear songs I love...because I start singing and probably am not paying attention as well as I should be...but really good music just does something to me, and the first song they played was Anyway you want it-by Journey, and I thought..yeah!! and then they played Money Talks-AC/DC and I haven't heard that forever...and I LOVE that song! Does anyone else like it??
Then they played Live and Let Die by Paul McCartney and Wings....and that's what I am talking about...I loved all those songs...I know all the words to them, I love just cruising in my car....and I just miss that so much...not that I don't still have days like today where I hear all good music...but it is a bummer that they just don't make them like they use to.
I can not stop playing "So Into You" since Devo sent it to me...I love it! And wish I heard songs still that do that to me.
I am grateful that someone made the songs that I love...I keep thinking about that...and thinking I have great music, and there is so much I still wanna get that I don't have, but it is rare for me to ever buy a CD I don't have. I remember when I was in all the music clubs and was buying CDs left and right, and when a new CD came out, I had to have it, and I probably signed up 10 times off and on through the years and did the buy 1 get 10 free, and it was so hard trying to just narrow the CDs I wanted down to 10. I don't even look anymore at those things.

Thanks John for pointing that out...what year did Live and Let Die come out?? If it was prior to the 80's, it can be here...cause I probably heard it for the first time in the 80's.
And Money Talks...AC/DC is totally associated to the 80's with me...I am actually shocked that they drifted in to the 90's with a big hit. Most of their stuff was early to mid 80's that I knew.
When does a song become classic?? If something came out in 1990...that is almost 16 years ago already (UUGH!)

AC/DC are one of those iconic bands who rocked the 70's, 80's,90's and the 00's. A lot of bands today like Jet and others are even trying to sound like them a bit. If the term hard rock was listed in a dictionary, AC/DC's name should be listed ight nest to it. They even held their own with the Stones at Toronto's SARS benfit concert a few years ago. Isis, I think this awesome two DVD set came out recently that has all the AC/DC videos plus rare TV footage and such. I have yet to buy it, but it lools like a collector's dream.

AC-DC is the best live act I've ever seen...and i was lucky enough to see them twice. I also wanna point out I didnt see them when they were young (Ahahahaha! Pun there: Malcolm and Angus are forever Young....hahaha) I saw them about 4 years ago and then again 3 years ago...BEST CONCERTS EVER!!!!!
My favorite Rock star is OZZY but my favorite band is AC-DC.
And too true thatAC-DC has been cranking out good music in the '70s,'80s,'90s and Beyond. Good for them!
