It seems like every time I get in the car and turn on the radio the same songs are always playing...like the one day I heard the song "Gotta Hold on Me" by Christine McVie...and I realized I have the song...and didn't know it...and came upon it by accident, which was weird, but now in the past week...I have heard that song play 3 times on the radio...and I am not even in my car that often.

Then a few weeks ago I heard that song "Wait for You"...and usually when I hear a song that I wanna try remembering to look it up...if at all possible I write some of the lyrics down to help me remember it later....but I couldn't that day...but then the other day it played again....and I thought...weird...cause it is an older song...so what are the odds that I would have heard it again in such a short amount of time...where I was able to get the lyrics...or remember some of them...

so I wondered.....do you think that the radio stations play a certain play list at different intervals.....and that's why the same songs keep popping up??

Actually that is pretty much what they do. I have been a part time Dj for 5 years now. With a library of thousands of songs, thats what we have to do. Plus you have a man/woman called a program director that decides what songs do best and they get played more. Top 40 stations are the worst for that, thats why I like oldies and classic stations. You get more variety that way.
