You've Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle and City of Angels are 3 90's movies that star Meg Ryan that I absolutely love!

i love you've got mail. it's one of the cutest movies.

i never liked her short hair, which she had for a long time, grew it long and then cut it again.

she's also had her lips done, and it's not very subtle-looking. didn't she have her nose done too??

but i do like her in sleepless in seattle as well.

I do NOT like all the work she's had done. She was so cute and now she's just so fake looking.

she used to be the epitome of cute. definitely the girl next door look that I've always liked.

Loved City Of Angels. She was good in The Doors. Courage Under Fire was excellent. Proof Of Life was good.

I was never a huge fan of hers....but I did love her in "When Harry Met Sally."

I think her lips look horrible....but so does Melanie Griffith and Goldie Hawn's lips. Icky.
I just saw current pictures of Betsy Russell on imdb...and she looks like she has the same lips now too.

I think people are getting plastic surgery way too early in life.

I had a woman who just stayed here with us last weekend, she was 54 years old...I would have guessed her to be 34- she looked fantastic...she did not have any kind of surgery. I have seen alot of older women who have taken good care of themselves, and they look really great.

I think if you start hacking at your face...you'll look like The Joker, when your done. I think if you don't drink or smoke, don't sit in the sun, drink lots of water, and eat right...you can age well.

That pretty much counts me out. Well, I do drink plenty of water. [Smile]

Meg Ryan has never put a foot wrong on screen. Even the non-cutesy roles she took on she was great in. Not mentioned so far was addicted to love with Matthew Broderick, and also When a Man Loves A Woman - expecially thought her performance in this one, as a secret alcoholic, was excellent.

‘Addicted to Love’ is a great comedy! I was just going to mention it. I think Meg Ryan looked sexy in this one.

I like her in almost everything, except in.. ‘When a Man Loves a Woman’. Not because of her performance, which was excellent. But the movie just was too depressing to me.

'Prelude to a Kiss' with Alec Baldwin is another great, but slightly overlooked movie of hers.

BTW Nowheregirl.. ‘You got Mail’ [Smile]

You've Got Mail is my second favourite soppy film, the first being While You Were Sleeping. [Smile] I like Meg in Sleepless In Seattle as well although I don't rate the film itself too highly.

I also liked her in these movies:
- Top Gun
- The Presidio
- IQ (one of her bests)

Too bad she screwed up her personal life...

What about Flesh and Bone w/Dennis Quaid? That was a pretty good one too...

Can you believe Meg Ryan turned down the lead roles in: Ghost, Pretty Woman, and Silence of the Lambs??

Yup. I can't see her in any of those roles. Especially not in Ghost - she'd never look good dressed up as a Whoopi Goldberg substitute....
