I am pretty sure that the music was from John Cougar's Jack and Diane, and that was 1 song from the 80's I actually never liked that well, so when I heard this song a few years ago, I thought Jessica Simpson had potential.
I actually think she can sing, I just can't stand how she acts like she's such a dummy, that is just either over played, or if she really is that dingy then I apologize.

I didn't know that song was a remake, I can't have pictured John Cougar Mellencamp singing it, maybe someone like Janet Jackson. Weird!

It's not a remake, it just sampled the guitar and rhythm from Jack and Dianne.

Well, actually that is what I mean, the music is better in this song than Jack and Diane, it isn't the same song, I mean it is completely different, but Jack and Diane I didn't like it, it just didn't work right, but the way they used the music in this song I liked it.
