It's an animated movie. Maybe even anime from the 70s or 80s. I don't think it's Heavy Metal though. The scene I remember are some alien rolliepolly looking things with yellow tenticles lifting the hero(ine) from the ground (it's a wheat field I think) and bringing him/her back to life or something.
