I saw a movie years ago that was about a father and son (I think they were the main characters???) and I remember they were deep sea fishing, and the son caught a huge marlin and they strapped him into a chair and he fought with the fish for what seemed like forever. I cannot, for the life of me, remember anything else about it....I think I recall the special effects being very cheesy by todays standards....
Anyway - the son was around 12 or so maybe and had dark hair. I cant remember much about the father.
Does anyone recognize this movie?

Could it be "Islands In The Stream" (1976) with George C. Scott? It was based on Ernest Hemingway's adventure novel.
