Okay, so the song You Make My Dreams by Hall & Oates, in what movies is it featured? Cause I googled it, saw a couple of titles, but none of them were what I had in mind. I'm sure I saw an 80s comedy where that song was featured, or maybe even the movie opened with it.

Yeah, Muffy's right. It was prominent in The Wedding Singer and that was a comedy set in the 80s, but was released in '98. It was also used in Step Brothers, Dumb and Dumberer, Lucky Numbers, and I Love You To Death, all comedies, but not necessarily from the 80s. It was also recently used in the movie 500 Days of Summer for a dance sequence. Hope you find it.

Unfortunately I read in the news yesterday that their bass player passed away, they were supposed to perform at the Late Night show.
I know all those movies you mentioned, I saw all of them but Lucky Numbers; 500 Days of Summer most recently - in fact I was listening to the soundtrack when I remembered it was in another movie.
