I remember seeing a movie that was from the early '80s. It was a high school setting. As I recall, there were two gangs that were going to fight after school. One of the girls had a spiked ball (or something) in her hair braid. She would whip it around and smack people in the face with it. It was a pretty campy movie. I remember that I could see the boom mic in several scenes. Just curious if any of these foggy details ring a bell for anyone. Please let me know if you have any clue about this.

Sounds like 3:15 the Moment of Truth with Adam Baldwin. Not officially on DVD but I have a pretty good copy from VHS. Deborah Foreman was a favorite of mine back then. Also early Gina Gershon and Scott McGinnis roles.
