I think the title was red beard or at least one of the characters was red beard. All i can remember is that the main character had a map of buried treasure tattooed on his head. He didn't know the map was there until someone ripped off his hair. Can anyone help?

You are thinking of the movie "Yellowbeard" (1983). Considered by many to be a comedy classic.
