"High School Musical" actress Ashley Tisdale is in negotiations to star in a remake of "Teen Witch" for United Artists says the trades.
The original 1989 fantasy musical starred Robyn Lively as an unpopular high school teen who learns she's a descendant from the witches of Salem and has inherited their powers. A writer is currently being sought to pen the update.
Tisdale is also in negotiations for a one-year first-look producing deal with "American Idol" producers FremantleMedia North America to develop reality shows. Finally she will executive produce an untitled mall-set show based on her life for Disney Channel.
