I've always enjoyed Desperate For Love but couldn't come to the conclusion to wether Cliff was innocent or not of killing his best friend Alex. Any ideas?

I don't think anyone will ever know.. and I think it was intentional. I think that maybe they were trying to say that Lily was the real guilty person in the whole thing and she gets off easy. I don't know.. it has been awhile...
