It was called "The Brass Ring." I think it was more of a made-for-TV movie from 1983. It was based on the book "Only My Mouth is Smiling." It had Sylvia Sidney and Dina Merrill. It was about this girl whose mother was a schizophrenic and she dragged them off to Wisconsin to a place called Lunar Lake. It was such a great movie, one of the best I've ever seen. Did any of the rest of you see it?

pettyfan i was looking for that movie for a while. i can remember the girl's face and the title but thats it!
i didn't even remember what it was really about.
