Does anybody here stay through the closing credits of the movie? I ask this because I have a small list to present.
These movies were released in 1990, but they are not 90s movies because of one special item that can be found in the closing credits: The copyright date.
I've watched the closing credits of movies for as long as I can remember and I've always noticed the copyright date.
Many people say that movies released in the early 90s can be considered 80s movies due to the music and fashions. A lot of movies released in the early 80s had 70s music and fashions, but that doesn't make them 70s movies. It's all in the numbers.
With that, I present a list of the only 90s movies that can truly be considered 80s movies...The copyright date says it all.
1990 releases with 1989 copyright dates:
-"Don't Tell Her It's Me"/"The Boyfriend School"
-"Impulse"
-"Lisa"
-"Loose Cannons"
-"Downtown"
-"Tremors"
-"Blue Steel"
-"Honeymoon Academy"
-"Revenge"
------
The next time you think a movie from 1990 is an 80s movie, please pay attention to the closing credits. You just might learn something.
Sincerely,
John Kilduff
