im 98% sure its an 80's movie, but it is also possible for it being an early early 90's. I doubt any of you will know, but i figuered i'd try since im dying to find out the name of the movie. i can barely remember anything but ill tell you all my vague memories. The main character is called Kate or Katie. I think she was blonde. The movie could be called All About Kate, or somethin close to that. She is a teenager, has a boyfriend, and issues are dealt with her parents and brothers. In one scene i remember the boyfriend coming to her house at night and may have caused troubles i dont remember! and another scene she gets a dress maybe for prom and it may have had that walk down the stairs scene! I think the title of the movie has Kate in it but im not sure or Katie i wish i knew more but this was like over 10 years ago!!! if you can remember please post here or email id love to reward you. Do a search on www.imdb.com and put the word Kate in the search field.
I saw a bunch of titles come up..
One was called
Weekend with Kate-1990
My Name is Kate-1994
There are alot of them, and then just click on each one for a description of the movie.
I hope that helps, cause I couldn't think of anything except the tv show Kate and Allie, and the movie Kate and Leopold.
and Kiss Me Kate- which is an old movie.

I thought Ami Dolenz did a cute job in this movie. I first noticed her in "Can't Buy Me Love", but "Miracle Beach" is my fav for her.
