Can anyone help me with the name of a movie from the early/mid 80's? It was about two teenagers falling in love, the boy was in a detention center/boot camp, and the girl was in some private school. There was a song in the movie that I liked but I can't remember the name of the song or the movie.

I know I've seen this movie, I don't remember the title, but I do remember that craig Scheffer from Some Kind of Wonderful was in it. I actually remember it having some other well known actors...i just don't remember which ones. Eek! You should go to a Craig Scheffer sight and check out his filmography. Hope this helps.

ok, after extensive research,lol, I finally found it. I'm pretty sure the movie your talking about is 'Fire with Fire'. The plot focuses around a boot camp boy and prep school princess who make eye contact at a movie theater. The two schools have a dance and they fall in love, overcoming many hardships in the process. I actually only saw the beginning of this movie and had to leave somewhere. I always wanted to finish it. The actress in the movie is Virginia Madsen... I believe she was in Creator. Hope I helped!
