I think this movie was an 80s one. In any case I don't remember much but it had the guy who played the grandpa in Parenthood. He was a dad of a kid who got into a struggle with a magician. I think it takes place at fairgrounds. That is all I remember, I'd be much obliged if someone could help me. Thanks!

sounds like "Something Wicked This Way Comes" with Jason Robards.. who I believe also played the grandfather in Parenthood.. regardless it revolved around an evil traveling carnival/circus/fair..
