I have no idea of the year of this film and I have no recollection of the plot. All I can remember is a scene where a man presents his design for a Sony advertisement. First he presents a picture of a Sony product with the Sony logo underneath, then he reveals the rest of the advert which is a picture of a skeleton with the word 'Bony' underneath.

That was from "Crazy People" 1990. A movie with Dudley Moore as an advertising exec who gets checked into a looney bin, where he discovers that the crazies have a knack for "truthful advertising."
They come up with great slogans like: "Volvo's: Yes, they're boxy, but they're safe." Darryl Hannah was also in this funny film.
