I am currently actively studying the topic of order management systems that do not just record the receipt and execution of orders, but also automatically calculate optimal logistics: choose the best delivery routes, distribute orders between warehouses and transport, minimize costs and reduce delivery time. I am interested to know how much this really works in practice: do such systems really help to increase efficiency and avoid human errors, or are these more marketing promises?
