Ever since we moved to a new city, my 3.5-year-old has been more restless, probably from the change. I'm trying to set up a calm and creative daily routine at home, but I’m running out of ideas that don’t require a bunch of supplies or time to prep. Ideally, I’d like something that combines fun with skill-building — maybe something artistic or visual. What’s worked for you all?

That’s a tough adjustment — I remember how hard transitions were for my youngest. One thing that really helped during our move was creating a coloring corner. I downloaded themed coloring pages from this site that were super easy to print and covered everything from fairy tales to letters and even simple math. It gave my daughter structure, something familiar each day, and she genuinely loved choosing which sheet to do. It helped with concentration and gave me 20–30 minutes of quiet time too!

I’ve never considered using coloring as part of a learning routine, but it actually makes a lot of sense after reading this. Sounds like a great low-pressure way to build consistency and creativity. I’ll definitely give that site a browse and see if I can put something together for my cousin’s kids.
