Ok, this is going to be tough but I have learned that even a few clues (especially 80's stuff) can get answers with all the knowledgeable people here.
I am trying to find a book from my childhood. I only have a few visions of it so it's really all over the map and I don't know what I may have made up in my head. I believe it was a christmas book or for some reason I remember St Nick or an older Santa name being used. I believe they were searching for letters maybe? I just kind of remember colorful letters being in the snow. This book could be from prior to the 80's. It was an illustrated kids book. Sorry I don't have much more but I'd love to find out what this could be!

Wanted to say that I was meaning alphabet letters. I believe they were maybe trying to spell something?
